
Advance Cardiac Life Support Courses (ACLS/ALS)
Blended Learning Heartcode ACLS
HeartCode ACLS is the American Heart Association ACLS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.
The hands-on session for HeartCode ACLS will take approximately 5 – 6 hours. An American Heart Association ACLS Course Completion Card valid for two years to be assigned after completing and successfully passing required skills check.
In Person Classroom ACLS
The ACLS Instructor-led course teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, early and continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
ACLS Instructor-led Course: 10.25 – 11.25 hours*. An American Heart Association ACLS Course Completion Card valid for two years to be assigned after completing and successfully passing required skills check.
*These courses are broken down into two consecutive six hour days.
Blended Learning ALS Certification
Blended Learning ALS is the American Red Cross ACLS learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.
The hands-on skills check for ALS will take approximately 5 – 6 hours. An American Red Cross ALS Course Completion Card valid for two years to be assigned after completing and successfully passing required skills check.
In Person Classroom ALS
The ALS Instructor-led course emphasizes providing high-quality patient care by integrating rhythm interpretation, electrical interventions, and pharmacologic knowledge with critical thinking, problem-solving, and in-person psychomotor skills practice to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
